By 2050 up to 80% of the world’s population will be living in macro-cities, this raises a lot of new technological challenges that improve the management of resources, infrastructure, and wastes. The aggregation of all these technological solutions is called the Smart City, it includes a bunch of digitization projects for public lighting, parking, air quality, watering, transport, and much more.
IoT plays a crucial role in the development of these cities, allowing simple access to every data source and providing:
Efficient and scalable communication and data management
Edge-to-edge secured infrastructure
Flexibility to integrate third-party services
Compatibility with Low-Power communication technologies
These are the premises with which we have developed Thinger.io, a platform created for the deployment of large infrastructures in the main areas of Smart Cities.
